I am also proud big to my amazing triplets, Ariel, Jordan, and Cristina! I am a second-year criminal justice major and sustainability minor from San Diego, CA. I joined ESA because I felt it was important to serve the community I was entering when I moved to DC. I am also a sister of the multicultural sorority Sigma Psi Zeta!

I am majoring in History with a specialization in Medieval Europe and minoring in Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. My job as VP of Finance requires me to be in charge of the bank account and managing all ESA's spending. Also, the other big part of my job is planning all ESA fundraisers. When I am not working with ESA, I am the Co-founder and Vice President of the GW Byzantine Studies Club!

Libby Shaw

Community Service Chair
Class of 2024

Hi everyone! My name is Libby and I am a senior double majoring in international affairs and criminal justice. I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico and I am currently the community service chair. This means I am in charge of organizing all of the amazing service ESA does around the DMV, keeping track of completed service hours and making sure people stay on top of their service requirement. This semester I have also gotten to plan our annual service trip! I joined ESA because I wanted to find an org where I could not only continue to give back to the community through volunteering, but also find a community of great people. ESA has definitely given me this and much more! Some other GW activities that I’m involved in are the Adopted and Fostered Student Association (AFSA), GW Reads and the University’s Integrity and Conduct board.

Sofia Bertini

Philanthropy Chair
Class of 2024

Hi everyone! My name is Sofia and I’m a senior studying Psychology and Brain Science and minoring in Management. I joined ESA to find a community of like-minded individuals who cared about getting involved in the local DC area. I am currently the Philanthropy Chair for ESA. In my role I get to host all kinds of fun events to raise money for St. Judes Children Hospital. I’m super grateful to be a part of ESA at GW!

Laurin Still

Sisterhood Chair
Class of 2026

Hey lovelies! I'm this year's sisterhood chair for ESA! I'm from Boiling Springs, PA (about 40 minutes southwest from Hershey), but I'm a military kid so I've lived all over! I'm currently a sophomore studying Journalism & Mass Communications in the School of Media & Public Affairs with a double minor in Creative Writing and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies! I joined ESA because I was interested in Greek life but was nervous about the pressure and price of Panhel & I thought having the opportunity to volunteer all throughout the DMV area was too good to overlook! I have absolutely fallen in love with ESA and couldn't ask for a better organization to be a part of on campus! Outside of ESA, I'm in GW RAGE, am a huge movie buff, and love to explore plant / books / coffee shops in the DMV area!

Urja Mehta

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chair
Class of 2027

Hello loves! My name is Urja Mehta and I am honored to be your DEI chair this year! I am a first year student from Cincinnati, Ohio majoring in Public Health with a minor in organizational sciences. I joined ESA because, as an only child, I loved the idea of having a supportive sisterhood that can make a real impact in the Foggy Bottom and greater DC community! On E-Board, I am in charge of hosting celebratory events for all cultures and backgrounds, and making ESA a more representative and inclusive environment! This is the first time ESA has had a DEI chair so it has been an honor! Outside of ESA, I am on the WLP student advisory board, an RHA hall council member, and work at a public health research company!

Sophie Eckstein

Public Relation Chair
Class of 2025

Hi, my name is Sophie! I’m from Northern California and came to George Washington University to study Political Science and Criminal Justice. I am the Public Relations Chair on the E-Board for the 2023 Fall and 2024 Spring semesters. I joined ESA because I love doing community service and ESA was a perfect place to meet welcoming like-minded people. Aside from ESA, I am a student staff member for CLRE on campus.

Giselle Sethi

Hi y'all! My name is Giselle Sethi and I am the Parliamentarian of ESA! Basically, what I do is manage membership requirements and member conduct (so scary). Myra Qazi

Leadership Chair
Class of 2026

Hi everyone!! My name is Myra and I am the leadership chair of ESA! My job is to plan leadership and professional development events, which include wonderful activities such as study hours, resume/cover letter workshops, our mentorship program, and more! I joined ESA because I wanted to get involved on campus, and ESA immediately was a welcoming and fun organization that I knew I had to be a part of. Some fun facts about me are that I'm from Long Island, NY, I'm studying psychology and public health, and in my free time I like to watch silly sitcoms. :)
