I joined ESA because I was looking for a wonderful community to become a part of and an opportunity to volunteer throughout the District! I couldn't be more grateful to have found ESA! I’m a huge cinephile, love to read, and am on a mission to grow my vinyl collection!

I joined ESA the fall of my freshman year because I loved volunteering in high school and I wanted to join a strong community of women. My favorite part of ESA is our sisterhood and I think Bid Day is so much fun! I love painting my nails, going to the beach, and exploring new parts of DC!

Hi! I am from Chicago, Illinois! I am majoring in Political Science and minoring in German Language & Literature. I joined ESA because I wanted to find a community of people with similar values to me. Community service was very important to me in high school, so I wanted to continue it in college, and thought ESA would be a great way to help me connect with the new DC area community. ESA has been such a wonderful experience so far, and I have made friendships to last a lifetime!

I joined ESA because I wanted to continue serving my DMV community while working with others that share similar values! My favorite part of ESA is attending all the different events that are held and going to various services!

Hi, my name is Lauren! I’m a junior majoring in Environmental Science. I am from Parsippany, located in North Jersey. I am excited to be this year’s St. Jude's chair and raise as much money as I can for St. Jude’s. I love being part of ESA because I have a passion for community service and love to spend time with our sisters! My favorite events have been during rush, service with Special Olympics, and the Lucky Dog service. I’m so excited to see everyone back in the fall!

I joined ESA because I loved volunteering in high school and this was the perfect opportunity to continue it in college. My favorite part of ESA has been getting to volunteer with Lucky Dog and help the sweetest dogs find forever homes. I also am a member of the pre-law organization on campus and club lacrosse!

I joined ESA because I wanted to find a community of folks who wanted to serve the greater D.C. community! My favorite part of ESA is the community service, especially Foggy Bottom Food Pantry! A little fun fact about me is that I can breakdance (over 8 years of lessons)!

Hello! My name is Garima Khatiwada and I’m from the Twin Cities, MN! I’m a junior majoring in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in Marketing. I joined ESA to be part of a community of supportive and inspiring women, and I got just that! ESA has brought me some of my best friends and made the GW’s city campus feel a bit smaller. My favorite part of ESA is definitely the service as well as big/little! I can’t wait for this next year of sisterhood!
